Another 7 miles today. I opted to avoid the Ridgeland running trail and tried something different. There aren't many "scenic" routes around here, so I just ran down Highland Colony, into Cypress Lake, and then back. The last 2-3 miles felt really good. I think my Garmin briefly shut off, so the time on the 5th mile is probably 30 seconds fast. Either way, it was a good run. In terms of intensity / speed, this has been one of my best training weeks in a while.
Garmin Connect - Activity Details for RNR NOLA 4
Work was slow again yesterday, so I found this little gem on Hulu. It's a great documentary about marathon running that I think everyone who reads this should take the time to watch.
Spirit of the Marathon
It's almost 2 hours long, but is all about 5 different people training for the Chicago Marathon. It's a great portrayal of the different views / training programs people have, from elite runners to first timers.
Hopefully my new Lunartrainers will get here tomorrow so I can break them in on Saturday. The schedule calls for 14 miles, so I'm going to run the first 10 with Leanna and the last 4 at my pace (not race pace, but probably 6:40ish).
