Introductions - Ryan

I swore up and down I'd never run a marathon. What joy could someone possibly get out of running 26.2 miles as fast as you can? I'd been running for about a year when a friend said he could get me into the Chicago Marathon for free (Run for Autism charity runner), so I thought I'd give it a try. I'd done a few half marathons and thought those were absolutely miserable, so I really couldn't imagine this being any fun at all. The marathon training program I chose for the 2009 Chicago Marathon was miserable in the Mississippi summer heat. Needless to say, I did my training, ran the race, and now I'm going back in 2010. Not only is the race experience unbelievable, but the feeling of satisfaction you get from completing a marathon is like none other.

That brings me to the other two participants on the blog, Garett and Taxi. I'll let them introduce themselves.

We'll chronicle our different training programs for the race, me in Madison, MS, Garett in Starkville, MS, and Taxi in Chicago. Hopefully you'll get some enjoyment out of it.
