Well lets hope last Friday's run was an anomaly. Monday evening's run might have proved it was. In a terrific recovery I went 4.8 in 38:24 (previously ran this route 2 minutes faster).
Unfortunately I made a very rookie mistake with my new Garmin 405. I forgot to charge the thing. I took today off to celebrate my birthday with seared duck breast and bread pudding. I'd much rather run outside tomorrow but I think I need to hit the gym and get in some light weight training.
As expected my running has been erratic over the last week and will probably continue to be that way due to a number of circumstances: 1. The Holidays 2.Sam's surgeries and recoveries 3.My sister's looming delivery.
While I accomplished my original goal of 6 miles before the new year, I am still hopeful that I can push a 7 mile run before January 1. Also, I think I'll begin to look for a half marathon training program for the Nashville half marathon, and I'm open to any suggestions.
Happy Running
